⭐ Why We Love Nostalgia

⭐ Why We Love Nostalgia Okay, let me be super honest right from the start… I didn’t even plan to write about nostalgia today. It just happened. Like one of those evenings when your mind randomly wanders back to a moment from 10 years ago, and you’re like, “Wow… I actually miss that.” 😅 The whole idea hit me yesterday when I was searching for something in my cupboard and found my old school diary — the one with the wrinkled cover and the ridiculous doodles I drew when I was “bored but pretending to study.” The second I picked it up, I felt something weirdly warm in my chest… almost like a soft hug from the past. And I thought, why does this feeling hit so deeply? Why do we love nostalgia so much? Why do some memories cling to us even when we don’t expect them to? So here I am… typing this out with a little smile, a little ache, and a whole lot of memories swirling around. Let’s just talk like friends today — no fancy science definitions, no robotic explanations. Ju...

AMAZING FACTS ABOUT SPACE

8 Mind Blowing Facts About Space That will  Leave You in Amazement

Overview

I have  always been captivated by space because of  its enigmatic, limitless, and full of wonders that we are  just now starting to realise.

I am constantly reminded of how little we truly know about the universe when I read about it. Space continuously serves as a reminder of how small—yet extraordinary—our world is, from luminous nebulae to invisible forces sculpting galaxies.

I'm going to share eight incredible space facts in this post that will make you to know more about the night sky .

1. The expansion of the universe is accelerating.

For a long time, scientists thought that the universe's expansion would be gradually slowed down by gravity. However, it turns out to be doing the exact opposite.

The universe is actually speeding up because of a mysterious substance known as dark energy.

Thanks to something mysterious called dark energy, the universe is actually speeding up as it expands.

The crazy part is the dark energy makes up around 68% of the entire universe, but  we still don’t really know what it is.

2. A day on Venus is longer than its year

Venus is a true cosmic oddball.

It rotates on its axis so slowly that one full day there takes 243 Earth days. But it orbits the Sun in only 225 Earth days — which means a day is longer than a year! 😲

If you lived on Venus (and could survive its heat and atmosphere), you’d see the Sun rise just once every Venusian year. Talk about a long morning! 🌞

3. There’s a diamond planet

Yes — a planet made of diamond actually exists! 💎

Astronomers discovered 55 Cancri e, a planet about twice the size of Earth, that’s believed to be made mostly of carbon. Under its extreme pressure, that carbon could turn into diamond — making it a literal gem of a world.

It orbits a nearby star only 40 light-years away, which sounds close in space terms — though we’d need a very long trip to get there.

4. You could fit 1.3 million Earths inside the Sun

Our Sun looks small in the sky, but don’t let that fool you — it’s absolutely massive.

You could fit about 1.3 million Earths inside it! 🔥

And yet, it’s still considered a medium-sized star. Some stars, like UY Scuti, are 1,700 times larger than our Sun.

It really puts our little blue planet into perspective, doesn’t it?

5. The Boomerang Nebula is colder than the outer space

Space is already freezing cold, but the Boomerang Nebula is the next level and  it is the coldest known place in the universe .

It is located at the distance of about 5,000 light-years away, the nebula has a temperature of just 1 Kelvin (−272°C) which is only one degree above absolute zero.

That’s colder than the background temperature of the entire universe.

6. Space smell is  like the  burnt steak

This one surprised me that  astronauts say space has a smell.

After the spacewalks, their suits has a scent similar to seared metal or burnt steak. Scientists think it comes from high-energy vibrations which is created when atoms collide during dying star explosions.

Imagine smelling the universe , it is  not a flower, but it’s cosmic nonetheless.

7. Time moves slower near black holes

Albert Einstein was right again — gravity affects time .

Near a black hole, where gravity is strongest, time literally slows down. If you just  spent a few minutes close to one, years could pass on Earth while you were gone.

It’s one of those facts that sounds like science fiction — but it’s pure physics.

8. We’re made of stardust

Here’s my favourite fact of allis " you and I are made of stars".

The carbon in our cells, the oxygen we breathe, and even the iron in our blood were all forged inside stars that are  exploded billions of years ago.

So next time you look up at the night sky, remember, you’re a literally part of that cosmic story .

Conclusion

From diamond planets to time-bending black holes, space never stops in  amazing us.

It is full of mysteries that remind us how tiny we are and  yet how deeply connected we are to the universe.

Every star, every planet, and every bit of dust out there tells about a part of our story.

In my next post, I’ll explore some common myths about space — and reveal what science actually says about them. 🌠
